This is, again, an older poem (from earlier this year) which I found myself reflecting on today. Don’t worry! New poems and posts coming. I hope you all enjoy!
Child of Glory
Glory Child, Lift up your eyes! Still, the sun shines! Glory Child, Why do you cry? Go ahead, and Lift up your eyes! Fire may fall and Storms may rage But ask me, and I will turn the page! Though it rains ashes and Though you choke on dust Cash in on your inheritance It declares, “In God we Trust!” No more weeping. No more grieving. Honor Child, Lift up your gaze! Your Father in Heaven has heard you! I WILL TURN THE PAGE! From the ashes will spring rivers of living waters! and From the dust the foundations will rise up! Wild-eyed wanderer, you are a Child of Honor! Wide-eyed ponderer, you are a Child of Glory! Lift up your eyes! The sun still shines!
