Through cesspools and putrid pits The smell of dung in our midst Unholy fire raging 'round The darkest of evils abound Weeping and wailing and gnashing of teeth Creeping and crawling and infestations beneath Mangled flesh and horrid deformities Cackling witches and rampant disease Oh, how we need the blood rain A profane blending of beast and man An infernal miasma has covered the land All creatures are haunted by a dragon's shadow Fear torments those driven mad by sorrow Rancid corpses and rotting flesh By goblins and ghouls are mournful souls threshed Every harvest is overcome by blight Morning fails to yield light Oh, how we desire the blood rain Tormented souls roam to and fro, though they never die Their hunger remains unquenched, their thirst never satisfied A gaping maw lies open in the crust of the earth The void yearns to be sated by children of first birth And then it comes, the flood... The gaping maw drowned by blood A monsoon to wash away the shame Here comes the blood rain The heavens pulled back reveals a throne Hot coals and blazing essence on sapphire shone A light greater than that of dawn It pierces the darkness and beyond It breaks the curses and relieves the sufferings All souls shout for joy as their burdens are lifted The perversions perish from its touch Every dark and evil thing is crushed The Light has come into the land Thus begins The Blood Reign
